SUBMISSIONS

Heads & Tales is open for submissions all year round. We welcome new contributors. Guidelines are quite simple, but you need to stick to them in order to be considered.

• Work submitted needs to be under 2300 words, which is 15 minutes reading time.
• You'll be expected to read your own work, unamplified, so you must be willing and available to perform.
• We may not be able to pay you anything. But we'll probably buy you a pint.
• We don't accept poetry, plays, or excepts from longer pieces of work.
• Your best chance of getting your work accepted will be if it's got a good strong narrative and pacing.
• We don't care if you've been published. We're not literary agents so we don't need you to grovel. But anyone acting like a primadonna will be refused as a matter of principle. So be nice.
